Today was a brisk kind of day. It got to be about 55 degrees, which was fine in the sun, but once that went down, burrrrrr.

Paisley & I went over to hang out with Elysha, Scott, Abby, and Oreo. It was a good time. There was ice cream, dog park, walks, adorable baby noises, and dinner. Everything anyone could ask for on a weekend.

On the way home last night, and again tonight, I drove past the steel mill. One day, I'm going to pull over and get some pictures. It's so beautiful there at night, especially when it's cold. The sky is a dark navy blue, the smoke is in the sky, the lights are on, and it's lit just right. I see it, and for some reason I feel like it's going to be okay. I searched online, and am shocked that no one has taken the time to photograph it at night. It's amazing, and now it's on my list of things to accomplish.

Now we're back home, and it's cold. The house got down to 50 degrees (the low is 35 tonight), so I finally turned on the heat to get it a little warmer. I'll use that to get going, and then I have my two little space heaters on. I forgot how much I love the smell of the heater in the car. Every year around this time I start to feel like I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Maybe this year I'll be right.

Here's the tile as I walked out the door the other day, before we'd grouted it. I'll get grout pictures tomorrow. It look so amazing.

I should have taken pictures of the "cutter" tiles - I kicked ass at that part. :)

Nothing else today. Other than that I got another week at work!!! Eep. :D

I now have 2 more repeats done on the scarf thanks to knit night.

Before I left, I was home for a bit and let Paisley out to play in the yard. Came in, did some dishes, came out to see this:

In other news, today was a good day. My iPod worked all day with the new battery!!! I am so excited about that fix. It's like having a whole new iPod. :)
After work, I picked up the living room, which was scattered with mail from when I was sick, dog toys, and dog toy guts. I got ready to vacuum, but then Scott got home so we went to dinner at Pho Grand. It was yummy, as always. Then I ran into the store to get some cookie dough ice cream, which I haven't touched yet, because when we got home, I went all 'meth head' on my house.
I vacuumed and then cleaned the kitchen. I moved everything off the countertops and scrubbed them. I moved everything off the floor and swept. Then I cleaned out a few little cabinets. Then I decided to clean the bathroom too. Scrubbed the floor and toilet and sink down. Cleaned the cups and towel holders. Changed the air fresheners. Then I hung the laundry and got tomorrow's laundry ready to wash.
And now, I feel way better. So, tomorrow I will do laundry, pick up the few things at the store I need for the trip, and then start phase one of packing. Cleaning my house wasn't even on my list of things to do, but for some reason after doing that, I feel that I will accomplish everything I need/want to with time to spare.

Today was a good day. There was cake in the cafeteria at lunch (lemon!) and then tonight we went to a concert at the Pageant with two other couples. The opener was Eric Hutchinson (LOVE!) and the main group I’d never heard of - they were mediocre. BUT- back to Eric. When he was done performing, he said he’d be hanging out at the merch shop. So, I went to meet him/get an autograph/picture. And I did the usual, “Hi. You rock. Strange request - can you please pose with my knit project?” And he was like, “You KNIT?” And then asked me all these questions and to show him and what was this going to be, haha. When I handed it to him, he was like, “No. Like, make it LOOK like I’m knitting.” I have never had anyone be so interested when I asked them. So, he is even more super awesome than I though. Here is the picture:

Thanks to Empress Nasi Goreng for the heads up on that! I got a screen shot and she is so flattered that she's made it to the top so quickly! I told her not to let the fame go to her head though, she's already getting a little cocky with all the compliments we get on the streets. I don't even tell her how adorable everyone says she is when I show them pictures. :)

It is currently POURING down raining, and icy as hell outside. I kind of want tomorrow to be a snow day. :)

I sliced my hand open pretty good tonight cleaning brushes at work.

This will be an actual, but half-assed update.

On Monday, I was offered a job at the art studio I applied to. On Tuesday, I started working. So, today was my 2nd day there. I really like it there, and I think it's going to be an awesome place to work, but I'm not sure yet if I can make it work for me as far as hours and pay. I'm going to try as best I can to feel it out, and I feel like I can make it work if I just find my perfect balance.

I wrapped more presents and put up my tree tonight, here a crap shot with my web cam:

And, that's all for my half-assed update. I'm very tired after my exciting evening with the IL side knitters, and I'm getting a little loopy. I turn into a cranky toddler when I start to get sleepy...
