Today was the annual "Bark in the Park" event in St. Louis' beautiful Forest Park. It was a good time. I won some things and Paisley got to eat a doggie ice cream cone, which she loved.

I'm feeling pretty worn down, so here are more pictures from Paisley & Twister's romp at the barn yesterday:

Today after work, Paisley and I took an hour walk to the park and back. I think it was about 1.5 miles, give or take. It wouldn't have taken quite as long, but I wanted to let her sniff up everywhere and get to know the subdivision. After that, we went back home and got everything ready for knit night.

We usually knit at coffee shops, but I invited everyone over to the house to meet Paisley and hang out. I didn't really want to leave her, since I'd like to get her more socialized and used to grown ups and new situations. She did really well. :)

After that, we went to Scott's again and she's started to go from rug to rug all by herself! I'm really happy that she's adjusting so well.

After such an exhausting day, she was very happy to find the couch:

Today was the first time Paisley came to Scott's house. She's not a big fan of the hardwood, but she's made progress even in the few hours we've been here.

After work, we took a good little walk around his subdivision. She's getting much better on a leash, big progress every time. After that, we went to Petsmart, and she met a little tea cup yorkie puppy that couldn't have weighed more than a pound. It pranced up to her, took a sniff, and what did Paisley do? She caved. Rolled over and showed her belly. So much for a 'stand your ground' breed, huh? That makes me happy though. Everyone loved her. :)

She also seems to have found a favorite toy. The zeeba is really getting a lot of play. :)

Not a lot to say today, but I did want to update that Paisley is doing really well and that she seems to really love Scott. We couldn't pass up getting a picture of her helping Scott work this morning:

So, today was a very big day for all of us. We woke up at about 8, and took turns getting ready. Played with Paisley for a bit, then Abbey, Lisha, and I went to Einstein's Bagels for a very delicious breakfast. Then we went to Knitty, only it didn't open until one, and it was only 11 am. So then we went to Jilly's Cupcakes. Only, it was packed and none of the cupcakes seemed very appetizing at all. (Read: If cupcakes don't look appetizing, you're doing something really, really wrong.) So then we went to the Cupcakery, only it was closed on Sundays. It was at this point we realized that this was what would happen if you *didn't* give a mouse a cookie. You're whole day would be off-track. :)

So, we came back and played with Paisley a few hours and relaxed, then went to Knitty. It was a blast, and I got new yarn for my top I'm making.

After we got back, Abbey & Lisha headed back to Memphis, and Scott and I rounded up Paisley to go to Petsmart and make a nametag for the baby and get some of the treats that Scott wanted her to have. :) She did really well, sniffed a bunch and walked really slow (painfully slow for Scott), but we made it through wonderfully. Next, we went to watch Scott play kickball. Paisley did so well. She sat on cue, and was really friendly with everyone that wanted to love her. We traded off from being patient and sitting and walking on the leash/following her nose/running in circles. I was so proud of her.

After kickball, we dropped her off at home and went to a BBQ. When we came back, she was a little itchy so I gave her a bath. She wasn't too excited until she realized that the faucet was actually an awesome water fountain and that she wasn't getting out of it. :) I dried her off and we played for a bit, then as we wound down, so walked across the kitchen and SAT AT THE DOOR to go out!!! I'm so proud of her! We haven't really given her a chance to show how smart she is on this. We've been taking her out a lot and just letting her roam. But this was great. She walked right out the door, went to what she's chosen as 'her spot', peed and then came right back up. She was obviously rewarded with love and treats. :)

St. Patrick's Day has always been more of a 'spring thanksgiving' for me. This year, I have *loads* to be the luckiest about:

My First House!!!!

#1. I closed on my house today!!!!! Yep. That's right. I officially own a home. A 2 family home, to be exact. It's everything that I've ever wanted it to be. I'll be taking a LOT of pictures in the next two weeks. Stay tuned to see how awesome I make it!!!
