Today's the first day without Artist Jeff. It was sad. New kid is okay, but I miss the baby stories.
For those of you attending WWKIP at the loop, here's your spy shot of one of the 'super secret' knitting designs that will be available at Rina Wear, just half a block east of Knitty Couture.
This makes night THREE that I've been up past 10pm. WTF. It doesn't end here, tomorrow night is the Iron & Wine show at the Pageant, so that'll be a late one too. After WWKIP day Saturday, I'm going to want to find somewhere to hide out for a few days. But, I'll only get one day, and I can't even use it to hide out, because it's Father's Day. Making this the 2nd weekend that I'll need an additional weekend to recover. *sigh*
I will be the first to say that I hate bumper stickers. I think they cause road rage, cause everyone ends up tail gating. But - I think it's because bumper stickers are always so damn poorly designed. I mean, this is to be read while passing and driving. DON'T WRITE SO EFFING SMALL! Sheesh. So. I think all bumper stickers should have writing no smaller than 2" letters. I think they should also be about inside jokes, or they should say things like "HONK if you're a douche bag" or "HONK if you're compensating for something with that truck". I realize these would be big bumper stickers if they followed my 2" rule. But seriously, they'd be awesome. Or they'd induce road rage. Either way.
So, I got my new phone today, the Palm Centro in pink. I haven't really had time to play with it yet, because Tammy and I took a knitting field trip to the IL side. :)
Wee! It's summer! I'm actually getting a little bit of a tan!
So. I've volunteered myself to have tees printed for this year's Stitch n Pitch game in St. Louis. It started as something small. Now it's growing. Exponentially, it seems. And I'm giving the option of names for the back. Stressful and time consuming? Yes. Worth it? TOTALLY.
Martin Scorsese's "Shine a Light" documentary about The Rolling Stones has been receiving rave reviews. What is your all-time favorite rock concert documentary?
I don't know that I have a favorite (or that I've ever even seen one), but I'm stoked to see the "Young At Heart" movie. I love that stuff.
Their movie poster involves knitting, too. What more do you want? :)
But, it doesn't seem to be playing anywhere close to me. Boo-hiss. Maybe it'll come to STL soon. We never get anything cool.
