Other than how badly I want it to be Saturday already.
I was doing fine yesterday. And today I was okay. But tonight I felt like I got hit all over again. I'm getting nervous. Hope it works out for me, guys.

In other news, I am exhausted. Paisley & I went to the Balloon Glow with my parents tonight and it was okay. Pretty crowded, and parking, as always, was horrid. I wanted to take heaps of pictures except that I didn't have my tripod and Paisley wasn't too happy to sit still long enough for a longer shutter timing.
So, yeah.
I'll put balloon pictures up tomorrow. I'm too lazy to get my cord and upload them tonight. I need a wireless camera card...
I am so exhausted.
I barely got any sleep last night for nightmares and fears of oversleeping my alarm and being late for my first day of work. I also forgot what traffic was like. And came to remember pretty quickly on my nearly two hour drive home (thanks people in the accident on 170!) as to why I was looking so desperately for new podcasts to fill my drive time with.
Today was awesome though. I got to meet everyone, and saw which desk will be mine. It was a lot of looking over people's shoulders today, watching what they were doing, but it was good. I think I'll catch on quick and be awesome in no time. :)
Other than that, I managed to muster the strength to sound awake for a podcast recording tonight. So, check that out here. Otherwise, night night.
Today was a big day with paperwork, cleaning, and errands.
Tomorrow will be busy too. But maybe I'll have a finished herringbone mitt to show off by then. :)

Other than that, today wasn't too eventful. I cleaned the bathroom and living room, and navajo plied yarn for the first time, and that was cool. But, other than that, I got nothing.
Tomorrow should be really eventful. Maybe I'll even have good news. Don't bank on it though.
I got mega far on the shrug today. Just look:
I just have the collar to go. I picked up more stitches than it required, but that's okay because I don't think I'm going to do the whole collar. From looking at the other projects on Ravelry, I'd say the collar is a little too long for me anyway. So, I may just make it up when I get to that part, if I decide that I want it longer like the the original design.
Tomorrow, Paisley and I will go play at Jessie's in the morning, and then I've got a meeting and it's knit night time.

So, things are back to the usual here. Didn't have too big of a jet lag problem. Slept in until about 10, but I'd be likely to do that on a day off anyway.
Recorded the podcast. Episode eleven already! Mostly rambles about the trip. My voice is pretty scratchy still, so I hope it's not too annoying to listen to.
After that, I cleaned most of the day. Did about 4 loads of laundry and cleaned the living room. And by 'clean' I mean moved every last bit of everything and cleaned under all the furniture and appliances, and then cleaned all the furniture and appliances. Window sills and baseboards as well. Took me about three hours, but this room is good for a while now. We also got Paisley a bucket for her toys. I had one at my house, but we needed one at Scott's. I think she's happy with it.
I was hoping for good news today, but it didn't come. Maybe tomorrow? I hope so.
I have plenty to keep me busy tomorrow too. Errands to run, other stuff to clean, meetings to attend. Hopefully I'll get everything done in the one day. Not likely, but worth a try, right? After all that, it'll be knit night! I'm way excited.

Also, in less than a week (oh my!), I'll be in Australia. But, I have 2 very, very long flights in the Australian equation. I'll have my knitting, but, just in case I get tired of knitting, or need something to do on the way back since Aussie Airlines hate knitters, what book would you suggest I read?
Please keep in mind that my favorite genre is True Crime. And that I hate romance novels. And boring books. I'd like one book, pretty cheap, with not a lot of volumes. So, Harry Potter is out. Plus, I don't find him very interesting.
I can't believe I'm even typing this, but I'm actually considering Twilight. But, really my main reason is because one of my podcast radio shows (Nathan and Nat) have been giving clif notes to it, but not including anything important at all, and really making fun of it. It's actually intrigued me. So. What do you all think?
