In other news, we went and enjoyed the dog park today and had a great time. Paisley met some new friends and is now both dirty and exhausted. An excellent combination. See:

I really should be giving her a bath right now, but the internet really eats away my time when I've been so busy lately. So, I guess I'll give her a bath at Scott's after dinner. Oh well. :)

Went to see Tom Waits at the Fox Theater tonight.

It ROCKED. He's so awesome and melodic and creepy. See below:

Best of all, it made Scott happier than ever. So, it was money well spent.

Tomorrow is Jeff's last day. Which I'm bummed out about. Not just cause I'm jealous he gets to work from home now. I'll miss the witty banter too. :( To celebrate (and keep with the art lounge's rule of not eating anything unless it's got pizza or cake on it), we'll be ordering pizza. And I baked a sugar cookie cake and decorated it to look like a pizza. Pictures of that tomorrow, if I'm not too sad about it.

So. I've volunteered myself to have tees printed for this year's Stitch n Pitch game in St. Louis. It started as something small. Now it's growing. Exponentially, it seems. And I'm giving the option of names for the back. Stressful and time consuming? Yes. Worth it? TOTALLY.

I can't wait to see everyone in the tees with the names. It's going to be so great.

Now - back to checking in everyone's payment.

Okay, so we moxi'd this and I just now saw it. All I can say is this:

HOLYFREAKINSHITDUDE. Twist after twist! Such suspense!

I am blown out of the water. I didn't really think that most of this season was as awesome as it could have been. The writers needed to get back into their niches. But seriously? This episode made it all worth the sub-par episodes. I cannot wait until next season.

Okay, so this is an overdue update, as I have cabinets, countertops, and a sink for at least 2 weeks. But, I've been busy, what do you want from me? :) The kitchen is basically done now. I just need to finish painting one wall and find the money to buy my fancy glass back splash. Slowly, I will accomplish it all. :)

Today was a big day. Dad and I met at the house at 3:30 and started to lay tile in the kitchen!!!We got all the whole pieces of tile down and set. We'll do the special cut pieces tomorrow, and then hopefully start on the bathroom and/or foyer. 4 days until the big move. I'm starting to get a little antsy...

I also (finally) met one of my tenants today. That was interesting for a few reasons. One of them I'm going to leave out for a day that typing seems more fun, but the other was because the old owner was a slum lord. He'd let them live without heat for 2 months... Anyone remember that time STL was 15 degrees and under last month? Inhumane. Know what's even more awesome? The fact that his furnace didn't work? Totally not in the seller's disclosure. And the tenant has proof that the seller know about it and they'd talked. Fantastic. Looks like I'll be in small claims court in the near future. So, because of that, progress was seriously hindered, because we spent 3 hours working on the furnace. Got it up and running for the night, hopefully it still works in the morning.

I took pictures, but my camera is at the house still, so, you'll have to wait. Sorry. :)

Today was the first day of real progress. Two rooms are painted!!!

Tomorrow we're getting there at about 9:30 to finish painting (except in rooms where we'll be demolitioning to add new tile) and then Scott& dad will tear out cabinets and get things ready for my new flooring and cabinets!!! I took a lot of pictures, but left my camera there. So... Hopefully I'll post pictures tomorrow!

St. Patrick's Day has always been more of a 'spring thanksgiving' for me. This year, I have *loads* to be the luckiest about:

My First House!!!!

#1. I closed on my house today!!!!! Yep. That's right. I officially own a home. A 2 family home, to be exact. It's everything that I've ever wanted it to be. I'll be taking a LOT of pictures in the next two weeks. Stay tuned to see how awesome I make it!!!
