Holy geez. 4 hours of slep again last night. We were out of the hotel for EIGHTEEN hours today. So exhausted. Lots of pictures were taken, but I am too tired to post them. Tomorrow night, I promise.

Don't let the exhaustion confuse you, I am having an AWESOME time.

I will be on a plane to NY in less than 36 hours. I'll be having an awesome time in NY in less than 48.

I am so super duper excited. SUPER excited.

Heather and Karen were awesome at knit night tonight and helped me make prizes for my awesome podcast listeners that will come say hi to me on Saturday.

Holy poo. Have I mentioned how seriously excited I am?

AAAAND. I'll get to see Tammy too! Best weekend ever, 36 hours and counting.

I barely got any sleep last night for nightmares and fears of oversleeping my alarm and being late for my first day of work. I also forgot what traffic was like. And came to remember pretty quickly on my nearly two hour drive home (thanks people in the accident on 170!) as to why I was looking so desperately for new podcasts to fill my drive time with.

Today was awesome though. I got to meet everyone, and saw which desk will be mine. It was a lot of looking over people's shoulders today, watching what they were doing, but it was good. I think I'll catch on quick and be awesome in no time. :)

Other than that, I managed to muster the strength to sound awake for a podcast recording tonight. So, check that out here. Otherwise, night night.

We went to go see the new Final Destination movie tonight. It was not scary. But it was suspenseful. And AWESOME. The deaths are so carefully planned, and just when you think they've run out of creative ways to off people, they find a new way.

And the trailer tagline couldn't have been more correct: Death has (in fact) never looked so good in 3D. I give it 5 stars of awesomeness. Go see it!

Guess what I got today!

A JOB! I'm so mega super excited about it. It means I get to go back to work for the super awesome wonderful company that I contracted for the majority of this year. :)

And, to celebrate, Scott got me an inappropriate cake (as he does every time I change jobs):

Ostrich Cake

This one reflects my gained knowledge of information that no one wants to know about while working with text books. Most of that knowledge I imparted on Scott when I'd get home at night. :)

It's a double layered cookie cake, and it literally weighs 6 lbs. I'm pretty sure it'll be coming along to knit night tomorrow. :)

Today was relatively eventful. I got a bunch of errands and follow up work done, and then Scott and I crossed the river to Illinois and went to dinner & bowling with friends. It was an awesome time!

The state of Illinois is smoke free, for those of you that don't live in the general proximity to know this. And, it's the best thing ever. I think we'll start doing more in IL since more and more of our friends live there. It was wonderous to bowl and have our lungs be happy. I've never experienced such a thing outside of Wii Bowling. :) Unfortunately, in real life bowling I suck.

In other news, I'm to the colorwork part of my herringbone mitts. Though, only one row in. I'll post a picture once it starts to look like something.

Tonight was Carrie & Matt's wedding. I don't think that I have ever seen a bride that was so damn happy in my entire life. EVER. She looked like a 5 year old that got a puppy and kitty AND pony for her birthday. I am so happy for them. Sooo happy. Because they're perfect. And they'll be so happy, and I can't wait to see all of the great things that they'll do together. I wish I would have brought my camera. I usually do and never take any pictures at weddings. But this one, I would have loved to have a picture of Carrie. She was glowing beyond any glow I've ever seen. Lovely.

And everyone was great. I was with the people I wanted to be with, and avoided those I didn't. And the night was much happier that way.

Scott's family has a saying that started with his Grandpa in every toast:

"May the most you want be the least you get."

And I hope for them it comes true.

2. My contract at work got extended by 2 weeks today.

3. I got books about Australia travel at Borders, and I'm obsessed. Just under 2 months away!!!
