Yeah, purple Jujifruits taste like black jelly beans. Which, as we all know, taste like death.

Fruit Roll-Ups, however, are the greatest ever.

There should be more cake had by all.

Today's the first day without Artist Jeff. It was sad. New kid is okay, but I miss the baby stories.

I got some more knitting done, and that's about it.

Baby Shower!

We had a great time at miss Erica's baby shower today, over indulging on cake, punch, and other deliciousness. She got many an adorable thing for the new baby to be, and we're all so excited. We can't wait to see little E!

August 15th can't come fast enough for all of us.

After that, we had dinner at Scott's grandparents house, which was status quo.

Tiring day. :)

In other news, we went and enjoyed the dog park today and had a great time. Paisley met some new friends and is now both dirty and exhausted. An excellent combination. See:

I really should be giving her a bath right now, but the internet really eats away my time when I've been so busy lately. So, I guess I'll give her a bath at Scott's after dinner. Oh well. :)

Pizza Cake

Today was a good day. PIzza, pizza cake, and cake. Everything you could want. Except that I was losing a work friend (lucky "I get to work in my basement" bragging jerk). :)

I uploaded the cake pic onto my sprint site, but it's being lame, so that'll be a picture for another day.

Also, we ended up hiring Chris, and after working today, he's got a good idea of what we're like. He seems to be pretty quick witted too, so there was an overload of banter between the three of us. As I was leaving, I was like, "Oh Chris! Remember when I said that thing about being a little drunk at work? By 'little' I mean stature, and by 'drunk' I meant wasted. See ya Monday!"

Sure hope he comes back. :)

Glitter & Doom

Went to see Tom Waits at the Fox Theater tonight.

It ROCKED. He's so awesome and melodic and creepy. See below:

Best of all, it made Scott happier than ever. So, it was money well spent.

Tomorrow is Jeff's last day. Which I'm bummed out about. Not just cause I'm jealous he gets to work from home now. I'll miss the witty banter too. :( To celebrate (and keep with the art lounge's rule of not eating anything unless it's got pizza or cake on it), we'll be ordering pizza. And I baked a sugar cookie cake and decorated it to look like a pizza. Pictures of that tomorrow, if I'm not too sad about it.

Interviewee (unexpecting): Well, I'm a family based person, I try to be very reliable. I'm almost always on time since I have to keep up with the schedules of my kids, getting them to school on time and all...

Interviewer 2 (me!): Sweet. So what you're saying is that you're the perfect person to pick up my slack when I come in a little drunk?
