Magically Delicious
Cooked up the morels tonight. Here are a few pictures of the deliciousness:
Soaking up and cleaning out. The 'spongey' part of the larger one was the size of my hand. Meaning it was about 2 hands long in all. It was more than enough to serve as my dinner.
Here is the smaller one after being sauteed in butter and coated in ritz whole wheat crackers.
I ended up cooking and eating both of them, even though I should have really only had one. But, I can't just let them go bad! They're a delicacy!
It makes me sad to know that this time next year will be the next time I can have them.
I wonder, if they were able to be farmed and mass produced, would they still be as delicious?
